Terms of service

These terms cover this website and the estimate request on it. The work itself is governed by the written estimate you receive and agree to, which sets out the scope, the price and the exclusions for your particular job. Where the two differ, your written estimate wins.

Who we are

FLOORPLAY LLC, supplying and installing luxury vinyl plank flooring across Metro Detroit, Michigan.

What this website is

A description of what we do and a way to ask us for a price. Nothing on it is an offer to enter a contract, and submitting the form does not book any work. We will contact you to arrange a visit.

Estimates

• On-site estimates are free and carry no obligation.
• We cannot price a floor without seeing it. Anything said before the visit is a rough guide.
• Your written estimate lists what is included, including the floor preparation, and names what is not. See what is in your quote.
• If we find damage under the old floor that could not be seen beforehand, such as a rotten subfloor or damaged joists, we stop and show you before doing anything else. You decide what happens next, and the price does not change without your agreement.
• An estimate holds for 30 days, after which material costs may have moved.

Getting the room ready

We move standard furniture at no charge. Please clear boxes, clothes and general belongings before we arrive. Pool tables, pianos and safes can be moved to another room, and any charge for that is agreed with you before we start.

We may reschedule, and will tell you why, if a room is not safe or reasonable to work in, for example where there is pet waste or a pest problem.

Workmanship warranty

Our installation work is warranted for one year from completion. If something we did fails in that time, tell us and we will put it right at no charge.

The warranty does not cover:

• The flooring product itself, which carries the manufacturer’s own warranty
• Damage from accidents, misuse, flooding or building movement
• Problems caused by structural work we advised against or were not asked to do
• Work altered by someone else after we finished

Financing

Financing may be available through a third-party partner for eligible customers. Approval, rates and terms are set by the lender, not by us, and are subject to their own agreement. We are not a lender and we do not make credit decisions.

SMS terms (text messages)

If you tick the optional box on the estimate form, FLOORPLAY LLC texts you about your estimate as The Floor Guys, from (313) 466-8805: answering your questions, arranging a visit, confirming times and sending a link to your written estimate on this website. A member of staff writes every message. We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Ticking the box is never required to get an estimate or any work from us.

• Message frequency varies with your conversation. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, and START to resume.
• Reply HELP for help, or email info@thefloorguysmi.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy and text messages page.

What we do not promise

We keep this website accurate, but we do not guarantee it is complete or error free, and we may change it. Photographs used to illustrate the work are labelled where they are illustrations rather than photographs of our own jobs.

Nothing here limits any right you have under Michigan or federal consumer law, and nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

If something goes wrong

Tell us first. We are a small business and the owner will answer. Most problems are settled with a phone call and a return visit. These terms are governed by the law of the State of Michigan.
