Text messages from The Floor Guys are sent by FLOORPLAY LLC, the company that operates this website, from (313) 466-8805. This page explains when we text you, what we send, and how to stop it.

How you come to receive a text from us

There is exactly one way. It is optional, and it starts with you.

1. You open our free estimate form on this website.
2. The form asks for your first name, last name, address and phone number. Below them is a tick box, empty until you tick it. It reads:

Optional: text me about my estimate. By ticking this box you agree to receive text messages from The Floor Guys (FLOORPLAY LLC) about your estimate at the number above. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms. You do not have to tick this to request an estimate.

Ticking that box is the consent. Leaving it empty is not: you still get your estimate, and we call you instead. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of getting an estimate or of any work we do.

We never text a number that has not ticked that box. We do not buy, rent or upload phone lists, and we do not send marketing or promotional texts.

What the messages say

They are about your own estimate and nothing else: answering a question, arranging a time to come and measure, sending a link to your written estimate on this website, or letting you know we are on the way. A person writes every one. A first message reads something like:

The Floor Guys here, thanks for your estimate request. We can come out Thursday afternoon to measure the living room. Does that work for you? Reply STOP to opt out.

After we measure, your written estimate arrives as a link to a page on thefloorguysmi.com. We never send links to any other website.

Frequency, cost and stopping

• Message frequency varies. Only the back and forth about your own estimate, for as long as you keep the conversation going.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We do not charge for texts.
• Reply STOP to any message and you will not receive another. Reply START to resume.
• Reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@thefloorguysmi.com or (313) 466-8805.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number stays with us

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.
